Description
Chestnut flour from Valle Camonica obtained from chestnuts dried with a modern method (hot air produced electrically) which does not transmit unwanted tastes to the chestnuts during the delicate drying phase. Subsequently the dried chestnuts are stone ground. Stone ground flours are the only truly wholemeal. This type of grinding is slower and heats the flour less, thus keeping the vitamin and saturated fat content intact. Chestnut flour is gluten-free and can be used in the kitchen to prepare desserts, first courses and the traditional sweet chestnut polenta “schelt”.
